One day I'm the son of a self made millionaire steel baron sent to take elocution lessons. The next, I've been recommended into a leading drama academy and my father's blowing his stack. He's come around now, but there were three things that worked in my favour for that to happen. One, my mother reminded him that he said over and over to anyone that would listen that he "toiled so my son won't have to" and that we have more money in my family than some small countries, so why not let me do something worthwhile? Two, my bank account is stuffed and never once touched his riches. Three, he saw how much it takes out of a man physically to do a three hour show every night and twice on Sunday for three solid months and laid off the lazy bum comments.

I also whipped him at arm wrestling two Christmases ago and he's never forgotten it.

I act on stage and screen, everything from the straight man in comedies to romantic leads to expressionist dramas and Shakespeare. I have a penchant for playing cads, though, and I hope to play many more before the greasepaint is laid on with a trowel to smooth out the lines.
